Loosely wrapped ball made from dressmaking patterns from the estate of Shyrl Henson London (1926-2009). Woven Pattern Ball #3, after Shyrl is a process piece that accumulated its layers over a 2 year period. The piece was finished only when all the patterns the artist had inherited had been cut up and transformed into an object of tribute and remembrance to her mother's labour and life work.
